‘He deserved to have more time’: Family warn no-one is too young for bowel cancer

The death of a father-of-two has left his family upset and in despair at the health system that failed him.
Most crucial was the 18-month delay in diagnosing 42-year-old Jeremy MacGillivray’s bowel cancer, which ultimately cost him his life, wife Ayako said.
MacGillivray died of pneumonia in Queenstown on October 29, three years after he was diagnosed.
